HEMMANT CREMATORIUM & CEMETERY CHAPEL
Hemmant Cemetery and Crematorium, operated by Brisbane City Council, is nestled among native eucalypt trees and wattles on Brisbane’s bayside, adjacent to the Fleming Road Reserve. Steeped in history, this site is the final resting place for many of Brisbane’s early pioneers, adding a deep sense of heritage to its peaceful surroundings.
The on-site chapel offers seating for 80 to 100 guests and is equipped with modern audio-visual facilities for music, slideshows, and tributes. For larger services, sound from within the chapel is broadcast to the outdoor area, allowing all attendees to share in the experience. The venue also offers live-streaming and recording options, ensuring loved ones who cannot attend in person can still be part of the farewell.
