Owner / Manager / Senior Funeral Director

Jason’s parents Kenton and Gail Poole started the company in 1987. Jason has been part of it for many years and is now the current owner along with his wife Melissa. Through many years of experience and having served on the executive board for the Australian Funeral Directors Association he has a great deal of knowledge.

Jason’s main focus, as was his Fathers before him, is to provide the highest quality of care to every family that we have the privilege to serve. Remembering that we as a Funeral Company are here to provide the residents of Brisbane the service that they desire, individual and respectful.

Jason has a very high level of Compassion and Empathy and all families appreciate what he can do for them.

Duncan Norris

Embalmer

Duncan joined Kenton Ross Funerals in 2000 as an office assistant but a fondness for helping people grew as did an interest in mortuary work.

Duncan went on to complete an Embalmers certificate after training in New Zealand. Duncan is also a qualified trainer and has helped many students complete their studies. Duncan has won much praise and accolades for his outstanding work, even winning a trip to Los Angeles to visit the county morgue and learn from peers over there.

Duncan is a qualified member of the Australian Embalmers Institute, New Zealand Embalmers Association and the British Institute of Embalmers.

Duncan’s professional and caring work performed in the mortuary means families can have the best experience possible when viewing loved ones; and families know their loved ones are treated with the utmost care and respect.

 
 

Jaunine Zuch

Family Liaison Office/Accounts Manager

Jaunine has been at Kenton Ross Funerals since 2003 and has been an asset ever since. Her compassion towards families at their time of need is excellent. All of her work is completed to a very high level with an excellent eye for detail. Jaunine supports all the staff in the office and assist’s with families if their funeral arranger is not available.

Jaunine plays a major role in completing and checking all of our wonderful memorial books and multimedia products.

John has spent many years in the Funeral Industry in Queensland and with his vast knowledge and experience was a welcome member to the team in 2011. He is married with 4 Children and is the current Pipe Major of the Pipes and Drums, National Servicemen’s Memorial Band stationed at Gallipoli Army Barracks Enoggera.

In 1999 John was awarded a Winston Churchill Fellowship and is the Official Piper for the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club, and also play the Lament at most Services in Anzac Square, Brisbane.

John is also a qualified Amateur Radio Operator  VK4JR.

Because of Johns Maturity and experience he has the ability to serve families in a professional and dignified manner in their time of grief.

 
Timothy Simpson

After gaining experience in aged and disability care, Tim joined the team at Kenton Ross in early 2013. Tim has always shown a keen interest in caring for others and felt that he had much to offer our client families in such hard times.

After he had received training in some elements of our mortuary work, Tim turned his attention to funeral directing. His caring attitude and dedication to our client families helps him to connect with others in a mature and compassionate manner.

His youthful energy, yet mature attitude allows Tim to provide all our clients a very high level of service in a compassionate and caring manner.

He and his wife live at Woodford and Tim is our primary contact for our Woodford branch which services the local community and Kilcoy, D’agular, Wamuran down to Caboolture and surrounds.

 
Michael Speck

Michael joined Kenton Ross in 2011 as an Executive Funeral Director. He has for most of his working life worked with families in their times of need and together with his extensive work and life experience in country towns and cities means that he has a unique understanding of your individual needs at times of grief.

Michael’s focus is on creating exactly the service you imagined you would have and managing every detail.

 

Lynton Flanagan

Funeral Director

Lynton joined Kenton Ross Funerals in 2007 after spending time in the armed forces. He is a long-time friend of Jason’s and as such brings that bond of family to his commitment to work.

Lynton has a great ability to make families comfortable when talking to them and his organisational skills are excellent.
